Travel WIBA Basketball Tryout Information
Boys and Girls Travel Teams are offered for 4th-8th Grades and these teams are separate from In-House/Inter-Village WIBA League. Practices meet twice a week for 1.5 hours each. Games are primarily played on Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays.
Registration can be done in three ways:

Important Tryout Information

Tryouts (and any/all makeup tryouts) all take place at Itasca Park District Recreation Center, 350 E. Irving Park Road, Itasca IL, 60143. Boys’ tryouts take place on Monday, July 29th. Girls’ tryouts take place on Wednesday, July 31st.
Tryouts will start promptly at the scheduled time. Please have your child arrive 10-15 minutes before the scheduled tryout time for check in. There is no spectating during the tryout. Participants are required to attend at least one of the tryouts or they will NOT be considered for the team.
Participants may try out for any grade above their own. The best players will be chosen for each team. If a participant attempts to try out for a grade above their own, it is recommended that they try out for his/her own grade level as well. Participants will only be selected for the team/grade level that they try-out for.

Wiba basketball
Autumn WIBA
Wood Dale and Itasca Park Districts are cooperatively offering a youth summer basketball league specifically designed for children currently enrolled in 1st-8th grades. This league was created to provide a healthy basketball environment with the objective of developing basic basketball skills while providing the opportunity for all players to participate equally in a team atmosphere. Games will be played on Saturdays or Sundays at Wood Dale Park District, Itasca Park District, Carol Stream Park District, and Glendale Heights Park District. Teams will be formed at random and will practice one night per week at Wood Dale Park District or Itasca Park District. Volunteer coaches are needed for the league to run.

Important Registration Info:

– We are looking for both Head & Assistant Coaches – if interested,
please indicate on the registration form.
– Games will be held on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, unless there
are make-up games.
– You are responsible for transporting your child to and from each
game and practice.
All Autumn WIBA registration must be done in person at the Recreation Complex (111 E. Foster Ave., Wood Dale).
Little Hoops
Does your little one love basketball? This instructional program is
perfect for your child! Participants will learn fundamental skills, basic
techniques and improve their motor skills required for the game
of basketball. Players will use junior sized balls and 8 ft tall hoops
to build confidence. Teams will practice for 1 hour, 1 day per week.
Games will take place on Saturday or Sunday mornings at the Wood
Dale, Itasca or Medinah Park Districts. Volunteer coaches are needed
for the program to run. If you are interested in being a volunteer
coach, please indicate on your registration form.
Ages: 4-6 years
