Follow the rainbow to a quality, well-rounded early childhood program that will build your child's self-confidence in a fun and nurturing environment.

The Rainbow Playschool has classes for terrific twos, energetic threes, and fabulous four-year-olds.

Classes are filled with wonderful stories, joyful music, age-appropriate art project, delicious snacks, field trips, exciting games in our full-sized gym, plus activities designed to expose your child to important concepts including letters, numbers, shapes, and colors.

The Rainbow Playschool strives to encourage the social, emotional, physical, and conngnitive development of young children through play to build a life-long love for learning.

Registration Requirements

  • Preschool Registration must be completed in-person at the Recreation Complex.
  • Original Birth Certificate (copies will not be accepted). We will make a copy of your original.
  • The child’s parent/legal guardian must present a valid driver’s license or state ID card to verify they reside within the Wood Dale Park District boundaries to receive the resident rate.

Rainbow Playschool Registration: ePACT Network will be used to collect all medical and emergency contact information electronically. After registration is complete, you will receive an email invite to complete your free account.

Registration Information

Online Registration is not available; please register in-person at the Wood Dale Recreation Complex, 111 E. Foster Avenue, Wood Dale.

A $30 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time your initial registration. To assist with financial responsibilities, a monthly payment plan is available. The payments are spread out evenly over the course of nine months. The first payment is due at the time of registration. All other payments are due on the first of each month. Payments received after the first of the month will be charged a $15 late fee per child. Payments not received by the 29th day of the month will result in your child being dropped from the program. Late fees are per child.

Two-year old program: Children do not have to be toilet-trained.
Three-year-old, Four-year-old and Learning Ladders classes: Children must be fully toilet-trained before starting school. Pull-ups and diapers will not be permitted.

New! Monthly Auto-Debit Payments

We will be requiring a credit/debit card to be linked to the payments for the duration of the program. On the 1st of each month, the amount due will automatically be taken from the linked account. If the scheduled payment fails, the customer will be subject to a late-payment fee
