Extended School – Before & After School

The Extended School Program is designed to provide children in Kindergarten – 5th Grade with supervised recreational activities in a safe environment before school, after school, and on most days that school is not in session. The before and after school program is held at the Recreation Complex. Bus transportation is provided by School District #7. Participants are required to attend the School District #7 schools in order to register for Extended School Program.

Registration

Registration packets for Extended School are available for pick up at the Recreation Complex or online at wdparks.org. Mail, drop-off, or online registration will not be permitted. Registration must be done in person by an adult. An additional $35 non-refundable registration fee and a full month’s payment (covers August and June) to hold your child’s spot in each program will be due at the time of Registration. Payment plans are available! A credit card will be required to be placed on file for auto-debit on the first of each month.

Refunds

Parents requesting a refund will be expected to send their request in writing to the Recreation Supervisor. Refunds will be prorated based on the date the refund form was completed. A $5 service fee per child will apply to all refunds. Fees will not be prorated for absences from the Extended School Program.

Payment Plan

A monthly payment plan is offered to assist parents with the financial responsibilities of the Extended School Program. To keep the monthly payments consistent, the total program fee is spread out evenly over 10 payments. The payments are due on or before the 1st of each month. Payments received after the 1st of the month will be charged a $15 late fee per child. Payments not received by the 15th day of the month will result in your child being dropped from the program.

Before School Bunch

A variety of activities are planned in the morning which includes arts and crafts, active games in the gym, free play, and homework.
7:00 – 8:30am.

1st Child

3 days: $1,110 or Payment Plan (10 payments x $111)

After School Bunch

A variety of activities are planned in the afternoon which includes arts and crafts, games, movies, free play, outdoor activities, and more. Each day, time will be set aside for homework. A snack will be provided daily.
3:45 – 6:00pm.

Spring Camp

Kindergarten – 6th Grade

At last, Spring Break has arrived! If you’re looking for something fun to do, come check out our Spring Camp! We pack loads of fun into this week-long camp. Participants can be signed up for individual days or can take part in all the fun and register for all five days at a discounted rate. Please note that field trip destinations are subject to change.

Registration deadline: Monday, March, 18
Accepted requests for enrollment past the deadline will be subject to a $10 late fee.

School Days Off

Kindergarten – 6th grade
The School Days Off programs are offered on most days when school is not in session and on half-days. Activities include unique and exciting field trips, games, crafts, gym-time, board games, and more! Children should bring a nut-free lunch and a water bottle.

The School Days Off program is available to students in Kindergarten – 6th grades. Spots are limited, so it is suggested to register as early as possible for any days you may need throughout the year. There is no After School Bunch on half day off days. Registration deadline is one week prior to date of program.

Full Days:
7:00am – 6:00pm, $62R / $72NR

Half Days:
12:30pm – 6:00 pm, $46

Full day school days off programs are available to students outside of the Wood Dale District 7 boundaries.
